ABUJA, Nigeria — A prominent political figure in Nigeria, Chief Daniel Osi Orbih, died on Monday, August 31, 2026.
In an official statement released on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, Francis Udukhomoi Orbih, Esq., speaking on behalf of the family, confirmed the passing of the chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Okay News reports that Chief Daniel Osi Orbih, an ally of Nigeria’s Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, passed away following an undisclosed illness.

The deceased is survived by his wife, Mrs. Florence Orbih, and his children, Ms. Winifred Anwosiobor Orbih and Dr. Mildred Omonemi Orbih, alongside brothers, sisters, and extended family members.
