PDP has been defeated in Plateau State as the APC gubernatorial candidate, Barr. Simon Lalong has won the Plateau State gubernatorial seat. He polled a total of 564, 913 to defeat his PDP counterpart, Sen. Gyang Pwajok who scored 520, 627 votes.
Until now, the last two governors Sen.Joshua Dariye and incumbent, Jonah Jang have been from the PDP
