Members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Sunday visited the embattled former governor of Plateau state and Senator Jonah Jang (PDP-Plateau North senatorial district) in Jos prison.

Recall that Jang was remanded in prison after his arraignment at Kogi state high court on May 16 by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The senator is facing a twelve count charge over alleged corruption and misappropriation of N6.3 billion during the last leg of his tenure as governor of Plateau state.

Those who visited Jang in prison include former vice president Atiku Abubakar, a former minister of information and orientation Prof. Jerry Gana and Chief Chris Giwa.

Others include a serving senator from the south-south and his colleagues in the National Assembly and other prominent PDP members.
