Abuja, Nigeria – The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has strongly condemned the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Federal Government following Nigeria’s ranking as the fourth most impacted country in the newly released 2026 Global Terrorism Index.

Okay News reports that the PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Comrade Ini Ememobong, issued a scathing press statement on Thursday accusing the current administration of “dancing on blood.” Citing the latest data from the Institute for Economics and Peace, the PDP highlighted that Nigeria, alongside four other nations, accounted for nearly 70 percent of all terrorism-related deaths globally.

Ememobong criticized elected officials for “wining, dining, and dancing in a faraway land” while citizens are routinely killed and kidnapped, claiming that insecurity has ballooned into a lucrative “trillion-naira economy” under President Bola Tinubu’s watch.

In its statement, the opposition party urged the President and the national security hierarchy to abandon reactive post-attack communications in favor of a proactive, whole-of-society approach to combatting terrorism. The PDP further appealed to President Tinubu to deploy his famed political mastery to fulfill the government’s primary constitutional duty of protecting lives and property, stressing that Nigerians are exhausted by the relentless violence.
