PDP’s Ahmadu Fintiri wins governorship election in Adamawa

Ahmadu Fintiri, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Adamawa, has been declared winner of the governorship election in the state.

Fintiri secured 376,552 votes to defeat incumbent Governor Jibrilla Bindow of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who polled 336,386 votes.

He was declared the winner by the Returning Officer for the election at 12:19 am on Friday morning, as the collation process ended in a dramatic turn.
