Pep Guardiola, Manchester City’s manager, has made a stunning admission, claiming he is “not good enough” for the reigning Premier League champions following their 2-1 defeat to Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

City’s struggles continued despite taking the lead in the first half through Josko Gvardiol’s well-placed header. However, late goals from Bruno Fernandes and Amad Diallo handed the victory to their cross-city rivals.

The loss marked yet another disappointing result for Guardiola’s side, who have secured just one win in their last 11 matches across all competitions.

This poor run has left them trailing nine points behind league leaders Liverpool.

Addressing reporters after the game, Guardiola did not hold back in his assessment of the situation:

“I knew it would be a tough season from the beginning, but I didn’t think it would be this hard. I am the boss. I am the manager. I have to find a solution. I am not good enough; it is as simple as that. I am not doing well; that is the truth.”

The comments reflect the mounting pressure on the Spanish tactician, who has been praised for his past successes but is now facing one of the most challenging periods of his managerial career at City.
