The Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) has uncovered another cache of arms barely one week after the discovery of 1,100 pump action rifles in Lagos.

The arms were uncovered on Tuesday in a container containing about 475 pump-action rifles.

The discovery was also made by the service at the Tin Can Island Port where the container loaded with 1,100 pump action rifles was uncovered.

The latest haul of arms were also imported from Turkey, and are believed to belong to the owner of the container with over 1,100 rifles.

This is the fourth time this year that the service will be intercepting firearms, all said to have been imported from Turkey.

661 pump action rifles were intercepted by customs on March 10, followed by another set of 440 rifles seized on May 23rd and the last interception before the latest seizure happened on September 11 with a massive haul of 1,100 pump action rifles.
