The popular blogger, Abubakar Sidiq Usman, otherwise known as Abusidiq, who was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Monday, August 8, for alleged cyber stalking, has been released.

Abusidiq was freed about 30 minutes ago (August 9).

In a statement released by the EFCC on Monday, the blogger was picked up over a report published on his blog against the agency’s Chairman, Ibrahim Magu.

The report headlined, ‘EFCC boss, Magu, commences total war with core EFCC staff’ was published on August 2, 2016, and accused Magu of bullying staff.

It also accused the Chairman of corruption, and of being jittery about the delay in his confirmation by the Senate.
