Nike has unveiled new home and away kits for the Nigerian football team participating in the 2016 Rio Olympic.

The new Nike home and away kits featured latest Dri-FIT technology which draws sweat away from the body to the exterior of the shirts and shorts, where it quickly evaporates.  This allows players to perform at their best by remaining cooler, drier and more comfortable.

The home kit is a solid green, with white ribbing around the back of the modern crewneck collar.

In keeping true to the national colours of Nigeria, the new away kit is white with a green stripe that runs the length of the sides of shirt and shorts, and a green stripe along the back of the collar.

The jersey also has laser-cut ventilation holes and mesh panels in the key areas of the kit, designed to improve performance by increasing air circulation and helping regulate players’ temperatures.

The shirt is crafted using mesh fabric that makes up the full front and back panels of the shirt, increasing airflow and facilitating enhanced movement.

Nike took over from Adidas in April 2015 as Nigeria football kit suppliers after years of partnership with the German kit makers.

The American company, Nike will be designing and developing football kits for the men’s and women’s Nigeria national football teams from April 1, 2015, until at least 2018.

Nike is currently manufacturing jerseys for over 30 football national teams including the United States of American, China, Brazil, Netherlands, France, Saudi Arabia, India among other countries.
