an Okada rider has proven that dreams can indeed become a reality if only you work hard and never give up.
Adeyemo Kazeem, an Okada rider, was named the overall best student at the 4th and 5th convocation, Osun state University. Adeyemo emerged the best graduand, finishing from the Department of Civil Engineering with a CGPA of 4.81.
Adeyemo revealed that he had consistently gotten poor grades when he was in elementary 1-4 and only managed to score prerequisite 5 credit passes in WAEC examinations. He began to ride Okada after secondary school to make a living and also pay for his JAMB form.
During his acceptance speech, Adeyemo was reported to have said: “Ladies and gentlemen, here I am, the once okada boy now the overall best graduating student.”
Governor of Osun State, Gov Aregbesola commended Adeyemo’s hardwork and revealed that he was almost moved to tears when he listened to his testimony during his speech.
