Plateau Police Declare District Head, 7 Others Wanted Over Missing Army General

Police in Plateau state have declared the District Head of Dura in Jos South, Yakubu Rap, and seven others wanted in connection with the disappearance of Maj. Gen. Idris Alkali (rtd).

Spokesman for the force Terna Tyopev said that preliminary probe had indicated that the wanted persons plotted the abduction of the retired army officer.

Alkali was declared missing on 3 September, after he left Abuja to Bauchi.

The Army had on 29 September announced the recoveries of his vehicle and personal effects from a pond at Dura-Du community in Jos South

Other suspects included a businessman, Pam Dung, 53, Chuwang Stephen, 46, Timothy Chuan, 26, Moses Gyang, 25, Chuwang Samuel, 28, Mathew Wrang, 27, and Nyam Samuel, 25.
