JOS, PLATEAU STATE, NIGERIA – Following the recent violent attack in Angwan Rukuba, the Plateau State Government has announced a relaxation of the 48-hour curfew previously imposed on Jos North Local Government Area.
In a signed statement made available to Okay News on Tuesday by Rt. Hon. Joyce Lohya Ramnap, the Commissioner for Information and Communication, the government appreciated the resilience and cooperation of the public and reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding lives and property across the state.
Effective 1st April 2026, the curfew will now run from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (GMT+1), allowing residents to carry out lawful activities within these hours.
The government, led by His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, urged citizens to remain calm, vigilant, and law-abiding as security agencies continue to monitor the area to maintain peace.
