Twenty-two (22) persons have been arrested by the Nigeria Police Force over the killing of innocent people at Kasuwar Magani in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Force Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Moshood, disclosed this while addressing a news conference in Abuja on Sunday.

“Twenty-two suspects directly involved in the killing of these innocent people have been arrested and they are now in police custody, and they have been assisting the police further in the investigation into the incident,” he said.

Moshood said normalcy has been restored to the area while some prominent personalities kidnapped during the incident have been rescued.

He condoled with the families of the victims on behalf of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Idris.

“The IGP condemns in entirety the attack and killings of innocent people, calls for calm as the police special investigation team has made a significant progress in the investigation into the attack and the killing of innocent people,” he said.
