Police Investigate Mysterious Death of Crossdresser in Abuja

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has launched an investigation into the death of an unidentified individual found dressed in women’s clothing along the Katampe-Mabushi expressway in Abuja.

According to the police, a distress call was received on August 8, 2024, at approximately 7:40 am, reporting a motionless body. Detectives were promptly dispatched to the scene, where they found a man dressed in female attire with no identification.

The individual was rushed to Maitama District Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Commissioner of Police, Bennett Igweh, has ordered a thorough and discreet investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.

The police are working to uncover the identity of the deceased and the events leading up to his death. Updates on the investigation will be provided as more information becomes available.
