The Rivers State Police Command has recovered the sum of 60, 250,000 naira that was reportedly stolen.

According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police in the state, DC Uche Anozia, the monies were meant to be delivered to a new generation bank in Port Harcourt when the driver of the bullion van absconded after the first point of delivery.

DC Anozia told journalists that useful intelligence was obtained on commencement of investigation.

The sacks of monies were located in a parked vehicle in a super market in GRA area of the city.

The driver of the vehicle and the bullion van are said to be on the run but the Police say investigation is on
