The Lagos State Police Command has successfully rescued three Fouani brothers and two others who were kidnapped by gunmen on June 14. The victims, including three Lebanese nationals, a boat captain, and his assistant, were rescued in the Orugbo Iddo Area in Epe, Lagos.

According to the police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, the rescue operation was carried out by the Marine Police with the support of the Nigerian Navy. The victims were taken to shore and later reunited with their families on Banana Island.

The three Fouani brothers, Abbas, Youssef, and Amtal, were abducted while returning from their factory by boat. The kidnappers had demanded a ransom of $1.5 million from the family.

No suspects have been apprehended in connection with the kidnapping, and it is unclear if any ransom was paid. The police investigation is ongoing.
