The three abducted schoolgirls of Babington Macaulay Junior Seminary School, Ikorodu, Lagos, have been rescued by the police hale and hearty.
According to PUNCH Newspaper, the pupils were rescued in an overnight operation by the police while some of the kidnappers were arrested.
The Lagos State Police spokesperson, SP Dolapo Badmos, confirmed the rescue and arrests to PUNCH Newspaper.
“Yes, the girls have been rescued safely by the police in an overnight operation. We also made some arrests,” she said.
The PPRO promised to get back to our correspondent with details of the operation.
The pupils, while studying in a classroom on Monday evening, were seized by gunmen numbering 15 and escaped through the school fence.
