Police Service Commission Promotes Four Commissioners to AIGs

The Police Service Commission has approved the promotion of four officers to the rank of Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police.

The four officers were hitherto Commissioners of Police in charge of various commands.

In a statement by the Public Relations officer of the PSC, Ikechukwu Ani on Friday, the four officers are listed as Henry Fadairo, CP, Jigawa State Command, Pius Imue, CP, Railway Command; Felix Ogundeji, CP, Intelligence, Force Headquarters, Abuja and Ezekiel Zang, CP, Air Wing, Force Headquarters.

“The Commission’s decision on the promotion of the four Commissioners of Police has been conveyed to the Inspector General of Police, Idris Ibrahim, for implementation,” the statement said.

Ani added that “AIG Fadairo was also former Commissioner of Police, Cross River State and served as Recruitment CP in Ebonyi State during the nationwide screening of applicants for Police recruitment.”

“The individual letters for the promotions would be forwarded to the IGP in due course for onward transmission to the affected officers,” it said.
