Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, has issued a strong warning to his colleagues in the entertainment industry concerning his wife, actress Ashabi Simple.
This cautionary statement follows a recent scandal involving actor Babatunde Bernard Tayo, popularly known as Baba Tee, who admitted to having an affair with Darasimi, the wife of comedian Ijoba Lande.
Taking to his Instagram story, Portable voiced his displeasure over Baba Tee’s actions and warned against anyone attempting similar behavior toward his wife.
The singer, known for his candidness, emphasized that such actions could lead to severe repercussions.
In a direct message to Baba Tee, Portable stated, “Baba Tee, “I’m telling you because it should not be like that. Why would you sleep with that guy’s wife? And I like and respect you.”
He continued with a stern warning, “I swear to God, if anybody moves close to my own wife, the person would die o, my wife, who is an actress, if I see anybody doing rubbish with her, the person will die.”
Questioning the conduct of entertainers, Portable asked, “Is that how you people behave in the movie industry?” His remarks reflect a broader concern about moral standards within the industry.
The controversy erupted after comedian Ijoba Lande accused his wife, Darasimi, of infidelity, naming Baba Tee as the person involved.
Although Baba Tee initially denied the accusations, he later admitted to the affair, sparking widespread discussions within the entertainment community.
Portable, renowned for his outspoken nature, expressed disappointment over the situation. He condemned the unethical behavior, stating, “A man who sleeps with another man’s wife despite knowing her husband, it’s a setback for him. God won’t let you see a set back bro. With the way there are many women in the world, you’re now allowing that man to molest you, even though his wife is a dog.
