#POSCharges: Don Jazzy berates FG

By Muhammad A. Aliyu

Nigerian producer and owner of Mavin Records, Don Jazzy have berated the federal government over the newly introduced charges on Point of sale (PoS) transactions.

Okay.ng recalls that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) approved the implementation of more charges on Point of sale (PoS) transactions.

Reacting to this, Don Jazzy through his Twitter handle on Sunday, October 13, 2019, asked the government how they plan to bring out many Nigerians out of poverty with the introduction of more charges.

He tweeted: “How does the govt plan to bring many Nigerians out of poverty when the struggling masses, neck-deep in poverty, are being overtaxed?

“The income and [the] living standards of citizens of other countries that pay much taxes can’t be compared to that of Nigerians.”
