Pregnant Woman Bathes Peeping Neighbour With Hot Water

An Enugu State based man, Emmanuel Anyaebe, who took delight in peeping at his female neighbours while taking in their bath, has paid dearly when an aggrieved pregnant woman, Mercy Chintua, poured scalding hot water on him when she caught him in the act.

The incident which happened on February 23, 2015, at their Akwuke Awkunanaw, Enugu, residence, saw Chintua accusing Anyaebe, her next room neighbour, of peeping at her while she was taking her bath in the morning.

Angered at at the invasion of her privacy, Chintua later boiled a pot of water and waited for Anyaebe to go into the bathroom for his own bath and with her bucket of hot water, she followed him into the bathroom and emptied the water on him.

The victim reportedly lost consciousness as a result of the pains and was rushed to a hospital while the culprit was arrested by the police.

Giving her account of the incident in her confessional statement to the police, Chintua said:

“On that fateful day, as I was taking my bath, Anyebe peeped at on me while trying to gain access into the bathroom, and in the process, saw my nakedness.”

But Anyebe who sustained sever injuries in the attack, denied peeping on the woman.

“It all happened as I wanted to enter the bathroom to take my bath, only to be stopped by Chintua, who wanted to take her bath first.

I quickly went and reported to her husband. After complaining to the husband, I went back to the bathroom and the woman rushed with a bucket of hot water and splashed it on me.”
