According to Reports Reaching us, President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday fired his Chief Security Officer, Abdulrahman Mani.

The president has asked the State Security Service to redeploy him out of the presidential villa.

The paper quoted unnamed sources in the presidential villa and the State Security Service. The development has however not been officially announced by the presidency.

The paper said that Mani was becoming too overbearing.

It will be recalled that Mani was recently involved on a power tussle with the Aide-De-Camp to the president over the withdrawal of operatives of the DSS from providing close body contact for the president.

While the Aide-De-Camp ordered their removal, Mani insisted that they must remain.
