The Nigerian presidency has dismissed claims that South African President Cyril Ramaphosa snubbed President Bola Tinubu at his inauguration ceremony.

A viral video appeared to show Ramaphosa ignoring Tinubu, but the presidency clarified that the video was taken out of context.

According to Dada Olusegun, the Senior Special Assistant to Tinubu on Digital Communications, the first row was reserved for South African royalty, and Ramaphosa was recalled to the podium before greeting dignitaries.

The president later greeted visiting presidents, including Tinubu, in the second row. The presidency emphasized that no snub occurred, and the meeting between the two leaders was cordial.
