President Buhari Mourns Death of Kano Businessman, Audu Adahama

President Muhammadu Buhari has mourned the death of prominent Kano businessman and community leader, Audu Adahama, describing his death as painful.


 

Audu, a former customs officer, died at 78 and was survived by four children, including the Special Assistant to President Buhari on Youth, Nasiru Adahama.

In a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, Buhari sent a condolence message to the family, the government and the people of Kano state.

Buhari also thanked the people of the state for their profuse prayers and good wishes in the period he was away for treatment in London.

“Allah has accepted your prayers and we are thankful to you for joining other Nigerians in saying those prayers for me and the nation. On behalf of my family, the government and the people of the entire country,please accept our heartfelt condolences,” he said.

Minister of Interior, Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (Rtd), delivered the presidents message in Kano on Saturday.
