President Muhammadu Buhari has sympathised with the family of the former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Farida Waziri, over the death of her husband, Ajuji Waziri.


 

The late Waziri, a former Nigerian Ambassador to Turkey, died on waziriMonday.

Buhari, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, joined the diplomatic corps and the National Assembly in mourning the death of the former diplomat and lawmaker.

He eulogised Waziri, saying before he retired from public service, he worked assiduously to improve the conditions of his community and the country.

The president said Waziri’s wise advice, insight and forthrightness would be missed by his community and the nation..
