President Buhari Sympathizes with Victims of Gas Explosion In Kaduna

President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday sympathised with victims of the gas explosion which occurred in Kaduna State on Saturday.

The president in a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, said his heart was with the victims at their hour of distress.

Buhari said he was touched by the losses of life and economic ruin suffered by these “hard working Nigerians.”

“As a human being, I fully understand the economic impact of this accident on the lives of these hardworking Nigerians,” he said.

He however advised Nigerians to pay greater attention to safety procedures and precautionary measures in their business places.

The gas explosion on Saturday evening burnt down 14 shops and a pharmacy with one person injured.

The incident occurred on Ibrahim Taiwo Road by Abeokuta Street in Kaduna.
