Following his defeat in the May 28 presidential election, President Goodluck Jonathan and his family are already moving their personal belongings out of the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Punch reports authoritatively.

According to the report, some buses, loaded with travel bags were sighted moving out of the official residence of the President around noon on Friday April 3.

One of the buses, a white 18-seater Hiace bus with number plate PF 6244 AL, was still being loaded with bags of different shades and sizes as at press time.

The destination of the vehicles was unclear.

Inside information is that the President’s family is moving out of the residence early to enable renovation ahead of May 29, the official date for transfer of power.
