Accra, GHANA – President John Dramani Mahama has returned to the country following official working visits to the United Kingdom and the Republic of Belarus.
During his time in London, the president attended the Ghana Investment Summit and witnessed the signing of the Ghana–UK Growth and Investment Partnership. The bilateral framework secured development commitments for a commercial ship repair facility in Takoradi, reforestation projects in the Oti Region, and artificial intelligence training initiatives under Ghana’s digital strategy.
Okay News reports that the president also held high-level diplomatic talks with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer regarding regional security in the Sahel, and met with King Charles III at Buckingham Palace.
In Belarus, President Mahama established a new Joint Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation. The engagement resulted in a bilateral visa waiver agreement alongside technical support frameworks aimed at boosting agricultural productivity across Ghana.
The president was received at the Kotoka International Airport by Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang and other senior government officials.
