PARIS, France – Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly stepped up their pursuit of Zion Suzuki by submitting a €33 million ($38.3 million) offer to Parma, according to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Okay News reports that the improved proposal has given the UEFA Champions League holders an advantage over Juventus, which had also been monitoring the 23-year-old Japanese goalkeeper.
Romano said PSG recently held talks with Suzuki and outlined the club’s long-term plans for him as uncertainty continues to surround the future of Lucas Chevalier. The French goalkeeper joined PSG from Lille for €40 million ($46.4 million) last summer but struggled to establish himself under manager Luis Enrique, spending much of the second half of the season on the bench.
Suzuki featured in 22 matches for Parma during the 2025–26 season, keeping six clean sheets while conceding 30 goals. His performances have attracted interest from several top European clubs, with PSG now appearing to be in the strongest position to complete the transfer.
If the move is finalised, Chevalier could be forced to reconsider his future at the French champions despite his desire to compete for the club’s first-choice goalkeeper position.
