Qatar’s population rose to 3,214,609 people in December 2025, representing a 2.3 per cent increase compared with the same period in 2024, according to newly released official figures.
Okay News reports that the data was published in a special population growth bulletin by the National Planning Council, which tracks demographic trends as part of the country’s national development planning.
The bulletin stated that Qatar’s total population stood at 3,214,609, “indicating a growth of 2.3% compared to December 2024.”
The figures highlight continued demographic expansion in the Gulf state amid sustained economic activity and development-led population inflows.
Population growth remains a key metric for policymakers in Qatar, particularly in planning for housing, transportation, healthcare, education and labour-market needs.
Demographic data is also central to assessing infrastructure demand as the country advances its long-term national development strategy.
