Legendary American soul singer Aretha Franklin has passed on at the age of 76, after several days in coma.

The singer who has battled chronic health problems for several years died on Thursday, August 16.

Franklin who spent over five decades in the entertainment industry was popular for hits like “Respect” and “Natural Woman”.

Fans have been praying for the singer since reports of her health surfaced few days ago.
