Okay News reports that England international Marcus Rashford has expressed satisfaction with his current spell at Barcelona, revealing that he is eager to make the move permanent after rediscovering his form in Spain.
Rashford, who joined the Catalan giants on loan from Manchester United in July 2025, said he feels revitalized at Camp Nou, where he has scored five goals in 12 appearances so far. Barcelona reportedly hold an option to sign him permanently for £28 million — a figure lower than the £40 million Manchester United would demand from other clubs.
Speaking to ESPN, the 27-year-old forward described Barcelona as a dream club for any footballer. “I’m enjoying this football club, and I think for anybody who loves Rashford Enjoying Life at Barcelona, Eyes Permanent Stay After Impressive St, Barcelona is one of the key clubs in the history of the game. For a player, it is an honour,” Rashford said.
When asked if he wanted to remain in Spain beyond the loan spell, he replied, “For sure.”
Rashford’s resurgence follows a difficult spell at Manchester United, where he struggled for consistency under coach Ruben Amorim. Despite being under contract with the Premier Lagu side until 2028, he appears to have no future at Old Trafford.
The English forward credited his improved performance to the change of environment. “People forget this, but 23 years of my life was with Manchester United. So sometimes you just need a change. I think maybe this is the case with me, and I’m enjoying everything,” he said.
Before his Barcelona move, Rashford spent the latter half of last season at Aston Villa under Unai Emery, where he regained confidence and sharpness in front of goal.
His impressive form has made him a fan favorite at Camp Nou ahead of his first El Clásico appearance against Real Madrid this weekend.
With his confidence restored and performances improving, Barcelona fans are reportedly urging the club to activate the purchase option and make Rashford’s stay permanent.
