Saratu Gidado, a veteran actress in the Kannywood industry, popularly known as Daso, has passed away.
Okay.ng learnt that she died in her sleep in the early hours of Tuesday after the pre-dawn meal before the day’s Ramadan fast.
Daso was a prominent figure in the Hausa film industry for over 18 years and was known for her remarkable performances and versatile roles.
Her passing has left fans and colleagues mourning, and tributes are pouring in from across the entertainment community in Kano State.
Despite her success in the film industry, Daso was also a loving wife and mother. Her resilience and dedication to her craft served as an inspiration to many aspiring actors and actresses in the Kannywood industry.
