The House of Representatives is addressing the accusation made by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) against a candidate named Mmesoma Ejikeme, who took the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Lawmakers are concerned about the way JAMB handled the situation, as they believe it was unprofessional to withdraw the candidate’s result and ban her for three years, especially considering that she is a minor.

They suspect that an adult may have influenced her actions.

To investigate the matter further, the House has established an adhoc committee and instructed JAMB to halt any actions until the investigation is complete. In a viral video, Mmesoma shared her surprise at hearing allegations of a forged result, stating that she obtained her result from the JAMB portal.
