As looters of the public funds are being currently fished out across the country by the Economic and Finance Crime Commission (EFCC), the anti-craft commission has warned all looters of the public funds to return the looted funds or be arrested by the commission.

Wilson Uwajaren who is the commission’s spokesperson gave the warning over the weekend during a programme titled, “The state of the nation” on Channels Television.

According to him, any suspect whose name was brought to the light of the commission, such person would be apprehended and investigated and if eventually found guilty of the alleged offence, would undoubtedly face the fullest wrath of justice.

“We are calling on those who have stolen public funds to return the looted money or be arrested. Ours is once you bring back the money, we have no problem with you. We can only arrest you if you refuse to return the money,“ he said.

On what Nigerians should further expect from the EFCC amid fight against corruption, Uwujapren said, “Nigerians should expect vigorous investigation of suspected looters.”

Asking what message could the recent seizure of Dasuki’s properties in Kaduna be to Nigerians, he said, “I do not want to comment on such issue because there are many cases before the court. So I would not comment on that.”
