To mark his first 100 days spent in office, the Rivers governor, Nyesom Wike, held a “People’s Forum” at the Obi Wali International Conference Centre. He told the audience that Rivers did not get any bail-out funds from the federal government.

“For record purposes, I wish to tell this Forum that Rivers State did not get bailout funds from the FG. It is important to let you know the facts, before people start saying a different thing,” said the governor.

On what he achieved in 100 days, Wike said that his administration did “capital projects”, paid salaries, staff welfare, security, housing, education, sports development and job creation, among others.

“Although, we have committed more resources to road construction, it does not mean that our administration cares less about other priorities,” he emphasised.
