The Rivers State Police Command on Thursday arrested two suspected armed robbers and also recovered a stolen vehicle in the same operation.
The Command’s spokesman. Ahmad K. Muhammad‎, a deputy superintendent of police, said in a statement that: “Today Thursday 24/02/2016 at about 1:30 am the duo of suspected armed robbers namely  Gabriel Samuel ‘m’ 27 years and Wokeko Samuel ‘m’ 31 years were arrested along Cheribim Road, GRA, Port Harcourt following a distress call to the effect that they snatched at gun point a black Toyota Corolla with registration number ABM 473 AA.
” The vehicle was snatched from its owner during the early  hours of the day at Rumuigbo, Port Harcourt.
“Two locally made revolver pistols and two rounds of .9mm live ammunition were recovered from them.
The suspects during questioning, confessed to have been members of a four-man armed robbery gang that terrorizes Ada George, Eagle Island and Rumuola axis of Port Harcourt.
“Investigation continues, please”, he added.
