The Adamawa House of Assembly has confirmed Sa’ad Tahir as Deputy Governor following his nomination by Governor Bala Ngilari. The House confirmed the deputy governor on Monday during plenary session presided over by the Speaker, Ahmadu Fintiri.

The appointment of Mr. Tahir, a former member of the House of Representatives for Yola North/ Yola South/ Girei federal constituency​,​ came three months after Mr. Ngilari took over office as substantive Governor of the state.
