Nigeria’s Senate President Bukola Saraki has paid a tribute to ex President Olusegun Obasanjo on the latter’s 74th birthday.
“As the world celebrates a worthy statesman in person of former Pres Obasanjo. I pray God grants him wisdom & more years of fruitful service,” Saraki said in a statement by his aide Yusuph Olaniyonu.
“President Obasanjo is a national leader who has not only led this country meritoriously as a military Head of State and civilian President but has continued to guide the nation with his wise counsel even in retirement. He is one true Nigerian whose passion for the unity and development of Nigeria is unparalleled. I wish him many more years of invaluable service to our country,” he added.
