The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) has assured the public of adequate and continuous supply of petrol before and during Sallah period.

Mohammed Saidu, the Zonal Spokesperson of DPR, Abuja, stated this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Abuja

Saidu said that 6.5 million litres (197 trucks) of petrol was supplied on Wednesday to Abuja to ease off the fuel queue in the city.

“About 6,543,090 litres of PMS representing 197 trucks of PMS was supplied to FCT on Wednesday on July 15,” he said.

While assuring the public of adequate and continuous supply of the product ahead of the Sallah break, he however cautioned motorists against panic buying and stockpiling of the product.

He warned petrol stations to avoiding hoarding the product, adding that DPR would monitor to sanction any defaulter.
