Olusegun-Obasanjo-NEW-600x40221-1

According to Nigeria’s Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, selfish leaders are responsible for the stunted growth of the Nation.

Obasanjo said for a leader to succeed he must always be prepared at all time to face challenges, especially unexpected challenges.

“We need a Scout spirit in our country not just for individual benefit alone but also for services to the nation. Work collectively and provide the leadership that will make us get progress,” he said.

He spoke when the leadership and members of the Scout Association of Nigeria paid him a courtesy visit and decorated him as Messenger of Peace Ambassador for Africa at his Presidential Hilltop mansion in Abeokuta.

He also assured the group that he would help it to inform President Muhammadu Buhari to fix a date for his decoration as the Grand Patron of the association which is automatic in line with the association’s constitution.
