Senate Reduces Buhari’s Niger Delta Development Commission Budget by N18.5bn

Senate-New-1-2-1-1-1-2-1

The Senate has reduced the N260,064,000,000.00 2016 budget for the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC submitted by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Senate however approved a total of N241,114,000,000.00 as the total budget for 2016, leaving a shortfall of N18,950,000,000.00.

According to the approved NDDC budget, the personnel Expenditure stands at N17,560,518,930.00; Overhead Expenditure is N9,980,000,000.00; Internal Capital Expenditure is N1,300,000,000.00 while Development Projects is N212,273,481,070.00.

The breakdown of the N260,064,000,000.00 submitted by President Buhari, puts Personnel Expenditure at N17,560,518,930.00; Overhead Expenditure is N9,980,000,000.00; Internal Capital Expenditure is N1,300,000,000.00 while Development Projects is N231,224,000,000.00.
