The Nigerian Senate has rejected the nomination of American-based professor, Akintunde Akinwande, as the head of the National Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC.

Mr. Akinwande who was nominated by President Muhammadu Buhari was rejected for his failure to attend confirmation hearing.
