Senator Babayo Gamawa, former PDP deputy chairman, dies after brief illness

Senator Babayo Garba Gamawa, former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Deputy National chairman, has passed away, Daily Trust reports.

Isah Garba Gadau, his spokesman, confirmed that he died after a brief illness in Bauchi State on Friday.

He said:

“He complained of a slight stomach ache and was taken to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH) where he was admitted.

“I am heading to his house now.”

It can be recalled that Gamawa was suspended from by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Working Committee, NWC, had on January 8, after defecting to All Progressives Congress (APC).
