Senator Shehu Sani Denies Report of Leaving APC

Senator Shehu Sani (APC-Kaduna Central) on Friday denied a media report that he has left the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking to newsmen earlier, the leader of the Restoration group, Tom Maiyashi, had said that Senators Shehu Sani and Othman Hunkuyi alongside members of the Restoration and Akida faction has dump party in Kaduna.

Maiyashi also disclosed that the two senators did not attend the press conference because of security concerns “since they were attacked by thugs at the last two press conferences that they addressed in Kaduna.”

Reacting to his alleged defection, Senator Sani stated on his facebook page that he has not left the APC for the PDP or any other party.

He added that discussion and consultations are ongoing and that if such will happen,it will be backed by a signed formal letter to the party.
