Veteran Nollywood actress Shaffy Bello has expressed her concerns about the growing influence of technology on the younger generation, cautioning that while it has its benefits, it could also have harmful consequences if not properly managed.

Speaking during a chat on Tope Olowoniyan’s talk show, Bello highlighted how technology is both a blessing and a potential distraction for young people today.

“The younger ones are missing out in a lot of ways. The younger generation is getting carried away with technology, the same technology that is fixing things and making life easier for you. However, I believe it can also be destructive if one is not careful,” she said.

While acknowledging the advantages of modern advancements, Bello warned that excessive reliance on technology could result in missed opportunities for personal development and meaningful interactions.

The actress also reflected on the challenges of growing up in the modern world compared to her own experiences. She admitted that life today poses unique difficulties for young people, which she may not fully comprehend despite her insights.

“It is much more difficult to be alive now than it was when we were growing up. It was harder for us then. I had my daughter at 26,” she said
