Last week, Chadian president ,Idriss Deby revealed Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau had been ousted and replaced with a new leader.He said

There is someone apparently called Mahamat Daoud who is said to have replaced Abubakar Shekau and wants to negotiate with the Nigerian government.”

Nigerian journalist,Ahmad Salkida,reportedly on exile in Dubai is known to have contact with Boko Haram leaders,as they allow him speak with them.He has accused the Chadian leader of lying, and says the Chadian president had also deceived former president, Goodluck Jonathan into entering a fruitless peace deal with Boko Haram.
