Nigerian musician Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, popularly known as Skales, has taken to social media to express his outrage and frustration following an alleged raid by officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on his home.
Skales, known for his hit songs and contributions to the Nigerian music industry, shared his ordeal on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
He claimed that EFCC officials showed up at his residence during the night, stating that it was for a routine check.
In a series of posts, the artist vehemently denied any involvement in criminal activities and expressed his distress at being confronted by EFCC personnel in front of his daughter, wife, and staff.
He further alleged that his properties were damaged during the incident.
In one of his posts, Skales wrote, “God go purnish una @officialEFCC. I am not a criminal, I have never done fraud in my life. You came in with guns to oppress me in front of my daughter and her mother & my staffs. You will never prosper in anything you do as long as you’re EFCC staff! You will always be a failure.”
He continued, “So U guys now carry out routine checks @officialEFCC ON FOLKS? Na una staff talk am. For all U made my family go thru this night—my newborn & her mom. I hate U @officialEFCC. U will fail in whatever the works of ur hands do… success will nevA be URS. I’ll always speak against U.”
