Nasir Zarummai

Sokoto state Commissioner of Science and Technology, Nasiru Shehu Zarummai, has died .

He passed on after a brief illness at the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital (UDUTH), Sokoto.

The funeral prayer of Zarummai, who died Friday night was held Saturday morning at Sultan Bello Jummat mosque and attended by Governor Aminu Tambuwal, Sen. Aliyu Wamakko, Sultan Saad Abubakar, Secretary to State Government, Prof. Bashir Garba, Head of Service, Bature Shinkafi, among others.

Survived by two wives and eight children, late Nasiru Zarummai, who was born on April 4, 1973, held a Bachelor of Computer Science Degree from the Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, UDUS.

Late Zarumai represented Sokoto at the Federal Character Commission.He was Special Adviser on ICT to former Governor Aliyu Wamakko between 2007 and 2013 before his appointment as Commissioner.
