The Sokoto State Government has officially announced Friday, April 12, 2024, as a work-free day, in celebration of Eid-el-Fitr.

The announcement was made in a statement released by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Abubakar Bawa, on Thursday.

The statement emphasized that the public holiday aims to facilitate the participation of civil servants in the Eid-el-Fitr festivities alongside their families. Governor Ahmed Aliyu expressed his well-wishes for a peaceful and joyous Sallah celebration for all residents of Sokoto State.
